Google Chrome Comic Parody

All, Design Stuff!

, , ,

As you probably know, Google released a new browser called Chrome this week. I’ve just had a little play with it and it seems pretty good. But also of interest was the comic that Google released to explain how the browser works and the technology behind it. As a visual person I found this really to be a really novel and helpful way to learn more. I think if I was reading the text by itself I would have dozed off pretty early on but the drawings in the comic by drawn by Scott McCloud are lovely.

Needless to say the parodies have started pretty quickly. Gizmodo are running a Photoshop contest to create your own google comic masterpiece.

Other parodies are appearing on yayhooray, The Register and Ian Ring.

Here are my own satirical, photoshoppery efforts;

    Wonderful. And thank you for not using Comic Sans, unlike all the other entries at Gizmodo!

    Sorry, that link should be http://www.bancomicsans.com/ — seems to require the ‘www’ (not my site).

    Thanks Mr Fussyfont. The font I used is called Comic Book Commando.
