Pets in Need is a no-kill, foster-based animal rescue with a huge soft spot for pets. While it is a certified non-profit organization, it does not currently have a shelter location. This small operation functions entirely on the big hearts of foster parents. Pets in Need rescues animals from shelters that are overflowing and from other rescues that need additional help. All animals undergo a thorough medical examination before adoption.
While most people associate purebred pets with breeders—not animal shelters—we frequently have purebred pets available for adoption.

Meet PETER, a one year old neutered Australian Cattle Dog mix. He weighs 32 lbs. He came in with Paul and we think they may be brothers, but they do not need to be adopted together. Both are very nice dogs, will enjoy being active and might be good candidates for Frisbee or ball players. Teens and up for this high energy boy! Please apply online so you don't miss out. Available now. Before visiting him please understand that we cannot hold dogs for you while you are on your holiday. Adopt-A-Stray - MA has dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens for adoption. Pet adoption is quickly becoming the preferred way to find a new dog, puppy, cat or kitten. Best of all, there are so many benefits when you adopt a dog or adopt a cat over buying. For instance, pet adoption will almost always be more affordable than buying a puppy for sale from a breeder or finding a kitten for sale from a litter. There are more benefits as well. Since pets in rescues and shelters usually come from a home where the owners ran out of money, got divorced, or had to move, it's common to find that the dogs and cats on our website are already housetrained, good with kids, or do well with other pets. People are finding out that buying a puppy for sale from a breeder isn't all it's cracked up to be and the stress of training a puppy is too much these days.
