People’s Anti Cruelty Association / Albuquerque Animal Rescue, a no-kill rescue group, was founded in 1973. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehouse homeless dogs and cats. PACA has no shelter facility and relies on an organized network of volunteers who foster the pets until permanent homes are found.
Residents must live in Albuquerque or Bernalillo County to bring animals.

No experience necessary but good organizational skills with some computer aptitude a plus. All training will be provided. Our office is located in Albuquerque - on Carlisle near Candelaria. If interested, please contact:If you reside outside of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, Town of Bernalillo, or Los Ranchos, and need to relinquish your animal or have found a stray animal, you must contact the local animal shelter in that area:The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department only accepts animals from people residing in the City of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, Town of Bernalillo, and the Village of Los Ranchos, to include animals found within these jurisdictions. Bernalillo County includes the areas listed below.
