This is the Jackson County Animal Shelter’s busiest time of the year for stray dogs entering the shelter. Fireworks shows, firecrackers and other visual effects can terrify some animals and make their lives downright miserable. It is not uncommon for an animal to run away from danger. When they do, they often end up in the shelter. The Jackson County Animal Shelter is the first place you should look when you can’t find your lost dog.
JACKSON, MI – Last year, half of all kittens and cats that came into the Jackson County Animal Shelter were euthanized.
