HomeComings Dog Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit, PACFA certified rescue based in Denver, Colorado. Our Mission is to work toward the no-kill solution by rescuing all breeds of dogs, providing homeless dogs with temporary care through our foster care program until we are able to adopt them into a safe and loving permanent home. We promote spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation. We also promote healthy relationships between pets and their people through quality veterinary care, diet, training, patience and most of all, love.OutPaws is committed to providing a safe haven for homeless animals, giving a second chance to those left behind in overburdened shelters and fighting pet homelessness until every adoptable dog and cat has a home. Denver Animal Protection (DAP) provides animal care and protection services for all of Denver County. We foster the human-animal bond by protecting the safety and welfare of Denver's animals and citizens. DAP is committed to providing humane care to companion animals; reuniting lost pets with their owners; adopting pets to loving homes; enforcing Denver County animal ordinances; and proactively educating the public about animals, their needs, and DAP's critical role as a community resource. Thanks to our partnerships with select Petco and PetSmart stores, we are able to adopt out more cats and dogs to more people throughout the Denver metro area. You can find Dumb Friends League cats available for adoption at the locations below.Lost pets brought to the Denver Animal Shelter without identification are held for five calendar days. Animals with identification are also held for five calendar days while their owners are contacted. Our online database is updated daily. After the five day hold, animals will be evaluated for adoption or transfer. Animals listed below may already be available for adoption if they have been at Denver Animal Shelter beyond the five day hold period. We believe strongly in not euthanizing animals for time and space, and only make such determinations based on severe medical or behavior for safety concerns (bite history, aggression, etc.). Denver Animal Shelter has one of the highest placement rates of homeless pets among municipal shelters in the U.S. In the last year alone, more than 6,000 pets were adopted, reunited with owners, or transferred to placement partners.
