Join us for the second annual North Florida Pet Adoption Days, June 18th and 19th, 2016. Puppy Hill Farm joins Alachua County Animal Services, Alachua County Humane Society, Gainesville Pet Rescue, and Helping Hands Pet Rescue to find homes for hundreds of pets this summer! All animals will be sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and FREE to loving homes. Adoption hours are 9AM to 6PM on Saturday, June 18th and 10AM to 6PM on Sunday, June 19th.Dogs and cats from Alachua County Animal Services, Alachua County Humane Society, Gainesville Pet Rescue, Haile’s Angels Pet Rescue, Helping Hands Pet Rescue and Puppy Hill Farm Animal Rescue will be available for adoption.Once approved, we will send you the pickup day and time. Sometimes we are waiting for the spay/neuter surgery, or other procedures to be completed, so the animal is not available right away. Plan to pick up your new pet at the PetSmart on Archer Rd in Gainesville, FL on a Saturday between the hours of 11 AM – 12 PM. This is when we complete the adoptions. At this time, you will sit down for a short interview with an adoption counselor. We will review the animals history and review the application with you. You will receive a copy of the contract and medical records at this time. You will also be required to pay the adoption fee at this time. We unfortunately can only accept cash, so please come prepared. We ask that you have a leash and collar if adopting a dog/puppy, and a crate/carrier if adopting a cat/kitten. This is a PetSmart policy that must be met to leave the store! The Gainesville store averages 40-45 adoptions per week, but the weekend event draws the biggest turnout, store manager Mark Frantz said. Last year’s event at the Butler Plaza store saw 375 pets adopted. This year, the goal is 400, he said. All adoptable animals are available for viewing at PetSmart on select weekends.
