The Maltese Rescue of OKC is looking for great foster homes. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent for one of our dogs, please contact us! The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we can save! We are a 501c3 Non Profit Organization. The Maltese Rescue of OKC was founded by Karolyn Lee. We rescue dogs in need that come from a variety of backgrounds, owner surrenders, lost and abandoned, and puppy mill survivors to name a few. The adoption fee varies according to age. Under a year old is $250.00 I -5 years old is $225.00 and 7 and over is $150.00.. There is an application process with all of our dogs that includes a vet check and home visit. We do not adopt to homes with any unaltered pet and we do not adopt to homes with electric fences. NO EXCEPTIONS! Getting our dogs happy, healthy, and into their new forever home is our goal, many things go into this process.

The participating groups are OKC Animal Welfare, the Bella Foundation, Central Oklahoma Humane Society, Forever Yours Dog Rescue, OK Save a Dog Society and The Underdogs Rescue. Each organization has its own pet adoption fees and processes. Dogs and cats from the OKC Animal Shelter are $60.“We’re proud to work with all of our partner organizations from all over OKC to help find homes for our pets,” said Animal Welfare Superintendent Julie Bank. “There are so many dogs, cats and other animals that need homes this time of the year, and this is a great chance for people around the metro to find a new member of their family. Our goal is to have more than 200 animals adopted in one day.”
