Our goal is to save treatable, trainable, manageable and misdiagnosed animals from San Diego shelters by providing a system of transport, training, fostering and adoption. Our ultimate wish would be empty shelters—meaning that no animal is abandoned and no shelter would need to kill one animal to make room for another. To this end, we are also cheerleaders for robust programs, and TNR (trap, neuter, release) programs for feral cats. Please note: SPOT does not take in strays or owner-relinquished pets, but NBC TV is leading the Clear the Shelters campaign. It has reported that nearly 800 pets found new homes in the San Diego region last year. Nationally, 20,000 homeless animals were adopted.San Diego Animal Support Foundation is hosted an Adoption Event Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Grossmont Center.
