The ingredients in human nail polish and nail polish remover are often toxic to dogs. The fumes from both products are particularly strong to the sensitive nose of a canine. It's best not to use polishes designed for humans on your pet, because dogs can easily swallow the products when licking or chewing their paws. Polishes and removers made especially for dogs are available for purchase at pet stores. If human nail polish or nail polish remover is used on a dog, great care must be taken to wash away the product before the chemicals and fumes can harm the dog.

Bottom line: If you really want to go over-the-top, there is nail art available for pets. You may, however, want to discuss this with your pooch before proceeding. Just remember that if you do decide to polish your pet’s nails, you are doing this for yourself, not for your pet. A quick drying nail polish to dress up your pet!

We've been customers of Pets Plants & Polish since the company began. We have nothing but PRAISE for their reliability and competence. My super- kitty Lulu is happy and well-cared for when we return from trips, and we can tell she's been fed, brushed, and entertained appropriately. And the plants are kept in top shape while we travel. This pet sitting service understands and carries out all your requests for treating your pets "special," and delivers top quality service! Thorough, compassionate, organized, great people. My best Christmas present this year was hiring Pet, Plants & Polish to watch my pets while we went to Europe for the holidays. I had the option of either using a kennel or hiring Pet, Plants & Polish. I was not disappointed I chose the latter! My pets received first class treatment. My dogs were completely at ease and our cat, who is probably the meanest cat in the neighborhood, was best friends with Kathy! I left on vacation knowing that my babies would be in very good hands.
Thank you for giving us a worry-free holiday!
