The PetSafe Little Dog is the best choice for dogs under 12 lbs. The small collars with their milder correction are better suited to small dogs than the full-sized collars found on other systems. Despite the small size of the collar, the system is full featured. Cool. You use PetSafe Stubborn (for large dogs) and PetSafe Deluxe (for medium sized dogs) collars with teh PetSafe Little Dog system.

Worried about keeping your dog safe in your yard? A PetSafe wireless dog fence may be the best option for your pet and there is no digging involved. Before you begin, select a unit that is right for your pet and your yard. This PetSafe fence is made for dogs over 8lbs. and covers about half an acre of land. Proper training of your pet is essential for the success of the pet fence.

Pick a location for the transmitter. The location must have access to an indoor power outlet and the temperature needs to stay above freezing. Locate it on the first floor of your house in the middle of your dogs roaming area. Large metal objects can interfere with the signal, so keep it away from furnaces and refrigerators.

Plug the transmitter in, set the boundary switch to high and set the boundary control up to 8. Install the battery in the collar. Activate the static correction signal, if desired. Set up the perimeter. Hold the collar where you want the perimeter to be, and have a friend turn the dial on the transmitter until the collar beeps. Place flags where the collar beeps to visually mark the perimeter.

Fit the collar on your dog, ensuring the contact points touch your dog's skin. Tighten the collar until you can fit one finger in between the contact point and your pet's neck. Properly training your pet to stay within the boundaries of your new wireless dog fence is crucial to your pet's safety and success in using the fence. For more how to content, visit . Or head to our channel: The PetSafe Deluxe UltraLight receiver collar is used to expand your PetSafe In-Ground Fence system to include additional dogs or as a replacement for your existing receiver collar. The receiver collar is sized for pets over 8 lbs. and fits comfortably on large dogs. This product works with PetSafe In-Ground Fence systems (sold separately). The receiver collar features 4 levels of static correction adjustable to your dog's temperament plus a tone only mode for training. Over correction protection is built in to shut off receiver collar corrections after 30 seconds. The receiver collar is waterproof and uses a battery module for proper battery positioning. A low battery indicator will remind you when it is time to replace the battery. This extra receiver collar can be used to add another dog to any PetSafe in-ground fence system or as a replacement collar to the Stubborn Dog In-Ground Fence (PIG00-10777 or PIG23-10682). The collar features 4 levels of correction at a higher intensity especially for stubborn or hard-to-train dogs.Looking at the specs for this product, it's intended for "small dogs" that are "55 pounds or less." Since when is a 55-pound dog considered "small"? My guess is that the collar is not very well calibrated for smaller dogs -- in the 5-15 pound range. So maybe you folks need to rethink the design a bit, and make a product that's more reliable and that actually is "pet safe."
