The best part? The owners of the pet aren't asking for any money -- except for the shipping costs.

Another option is shipping your pets as cargo. While this is more expensive than the other two methods, these methods provides more certainty that your pet will be placed on the airplane and is the only way they may travel unaccompanied. Costs vary by airline and are based on the combined weight of the pet and the shipping crate.

These comments fully support our total opposition to using a 3rd party pet shipper... The company named is actually one of the few really good pet shippers so we did NOT name them on our 3rd party page. Even the best can make serious mistakes. We get comments everyday from other pet owners who have had a bad experience and/or have huge estimates to run by us... We still advocate using ones own veterinarian whenever possible. Do NOT leave this up to a 3rd party middleman.... If this lady had contacted a local pet shipper instead of a 3rd party shipper she would not have had the problems she did have... and, the total costs would have been a fraction of what she ended up paying.... Most 3rd party pet shippers are out to Rip you off. The typical cost to ship a pet is $180 - 420 from analyzing 1300 animals shipped between 300 to 2000 miles in the last few months. Costs of course vary from one shipment to another.

For international pet relocations estimated costs will include: customs entry procedures, veterinary inspections, in-transit care, boarding or quarantine if required, and the specific requirements of the destination country. Destination air cargo firms in some countries charge additional fees for animal pick-up that are not included in our estimates.Every day, PetRelocation takes phone calls from people who have been victims of puppy scams. It all seems so reasonable, just to pay the shipping costs. People want to know how much PetRelocation will charge to arrange the shipping and we have to explain that there is no puppy. The puppy scammers will not release the puppy to a reputable company like ours because the puppy does not exist. They only want to get your money, however small amount, in cash.
