Pet rats have been around for centuries, and there's so many reasons as to why they're soaring in popularity as pets today! They are smart, sweet, funny, charismatic, charming, and trainable! If you were to meet just ONE cool pet rat, you'll for sure want one yourself. These animals have been taught to detect landmines, they have complex personalities, and are even capable of giving AND reading facial expressions! Would you also believe that rats can recognize and imitate patterns?Calvin Coolidge (1923-1929) may have been inspired by his predecessor, President Roosevelt; he also had a large collection of pets at the White House — another real zoo. The Capybara are very cool pets due to their playful, smart, and social personalities. Also known as a water pig, these lovable creatures practically live in the water. Corn snakes, king snakes, and milk snakes are popular, easy pets.Well you’re at the right place, so get ready to know some mysterious and incredibly awkward looking creatures from our blue planet that can be kept as cool pets. This is a really cool article; I love that people are sharing some of the more unusual small pets with the world :) I've had mice, hamsters, gerbils, rats (I LOVE rats), hissing cockroaches, giant millipedes, rabbits, and fish. I've been campaigning fruitlessly for a ferret for years... currently I have a peach-faced lovebird (the most perfect pet ever), ring-necked dove (might be worth mentioning), and a rat in addition to chickens, dogs, and a cat. I have to say, as a cat person, I was fascinated by the genet! I'd consider getting one if I didn't need a parrot in my life :)
