PetSmart Charities® of Canada and Toronto’s animal welfare community took a stand against pet homelessness and hosted the country’s first-ever large-scale adoption event in July of 2014. Luckily for you, we're providing you with this list of the cutest Toronto pets to give love to on Instagram.Our veterinary hospital in downtown Toronto is pleased to provide a wide variety of veterinary services for your pets, including dentistry, surgery, microchipping, radiology and more. The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and their operators are reasonably dog-friendly but their bylaws tell another story. The TTC does not allow pets during peak operating hours. So if you’re planning on taking a busy route between 6:30-10a.m. or 3:30-7p.m. you may be out of luck unless your furry friend fits in a purse or small bag or you have a service dog (which thankfully are exempt). I don’t have the luxury of being able to fit my 100-pound American Bulldog into my backpack so I’ve had to bite the bullet and take a taxi when my destination is out of walking distance during peak TTC hours. Some taxi drivers are frightened of big dogs but I’ve never had an issue when giving the cab company a heads up that I have my best friend with me.It means neighbours can rightfully report pets banished to balconies and backyards during cold and heat waves when warnings are issued by the City of Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health or by Environment Canada.In case you missed, it, last Saturday was a day to meet new friends and and sniff a few butts in the big city of Toronto! Wait...What? It's not as strange as you think if you are a dog. And, we, the humans of Posh Pets® Photography, had the absolute pleasure of...Toronto has a long history of being a pet friendly city. There are great animal services here, making it easy to own and care for pets in Toronto. Dr. Hester is originally from Milton, Ontario. She completed an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in 2009, with minors in biology and psychology. She then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College, graduating with honours in 2013. Dr. Hester has appeared on CP24's Animal House Calls, and sincerely enjoys educating pet owners on all aspects of animal care and health. Her professional areas of interest are always changing, but currently include dental and oral surgery, soft tissue surgery, canine breed-specific diseases, avian pathology and rabbit gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Hester currently practices as an associate veterinarian at Amherst Veterinary Hospital in Scarborough. She lives in Toronto with a small menagerie of pets, including a lineolated parakeet named Sprout, an dwarf rabbit named Bunneh, and a lovable collie mix named Flash. If you are moving to Toronto or visiting the city with a pet you won’t have any problems adjusting to your surroundings. For example, there are lots of Toronto pet stores that have a large inventory to both feed and entertain all kinds of pets.
